Tillandsia capitata ‘Moroon’ is a spectacular cultivar of capitata that has very maroon leaves that can spread to 18″ – 20″ across. Tillandsia capitata is indigenous to Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. The capitata species grows in evergreen and deciduous forests and is highly variable in size, shape and color.
