Tillandsia balbisiana (ball-biss-ee-AH-na) is a myrmecophytic (mir-meh-coe-FIH-tick) species that originates in Mexico and Central America. It has very long,flat, tough leaves and grows to be quite tall. Not common, it has a most interesting shape and is easy to grow.
