Native distribution and habitat: T. exserta is found in northwest Mexico, around
Mazatlan, Sinaloa and grows epiphytically in dry forests and thickets, 10-45 m. Elev.
Growth habit: It has a rather different shape for a species with white leaves which
are long and graceful. A special plant.
Foliage: The leaves can turn frosty white with trichomes while the centre might
have a red blush.
Flowers: The tall inflorescence is red with large violet flowers
